On 6 November, Hexagon and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) signed a strategic agreement at the China International Import Expo. The two organisations will jointly explore intelligent manufacturing solutions in the aerospace industry to create an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem for smarter aviation manufacturing.
Executives from Hexagon and CASIC met during the expo to discuss their future working relationship. After the meeting, at four o'clock in the afternoon, General Manager of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation’s subsidiary Zhongtian Pengyu, Li Jin and Mr. Hao Jian, President of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Greater China, shook hands and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, witnessed by the other leadership team members in attendance.

During the event, Mr. Hao Jian delivered a keynote speech on “Promoting Quality-Centered Aviation Intelligence Manufacturing”, in which he discussed the long history of cooperation between Hexagon and CASIC. Since the beginning of the year, Hexagon's laser tracker measuring equipment has been used for assembly inspection in important space missions. These measuring systems continue to provide guaranteed high precision for aerospace engineering. Mr. Hao Jian detailed Hexagon's holistic product portfolio, from design engineering to big data analysis, including design, simulation, factory automation and comprehensive quality control management systems.

In the context of ongoing global scientific, technological and industrial transformation, Hexagon and CASIC will maintain a "high dependence, high interaction" strategic partnership, develop a vision of the smart aerospace industry, and promote quality as the core of intelligent aviation manufacturing.
