Understanding emissions scopes

Greenhouse gas emissions are grouped into three scopes based on their sources and relationship to a company's operations and value chain.

Scope 1

Includes direct emissions from your company-owned sources like fuel combustion and manufacturing.

Scope 2

Covers indirect emissions from purchased energy, such as electricity and heating.

Scope 3

Encompasses all other indirect emissions across your value chain, including supply chain activities, product use, and disposal.

Reducing our footprint

Hexagon's journey to net-zero is guided by emissions reduction targets across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.
