About ISO 10360 Standards for CMMs

These short explanations refer to the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) performance specifications referred to in product technical documentation. It is important to understand which version of the ISO specification any product documentation refers to, as there have been revisions to the specifications over time, and the terminology used within and testing procedures have changed.

ISO 10360-2: 2009 Geometrical product specifications (GPS) – Acceptance and reverification tests for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) — Part 2: CMMs used for measuring linear dimensions

ISO 10360-4: 2000 Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) – Acceptance and reverification tests for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) — Part 4: CMMs used in scanning measuring mode

ISO 10360-5 :2010 Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) – Acceptance and reverification tests for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) — Part 5: CMMs using multiple-stylus probing systems.
