Mapping Denmark's development: a multi-decade journey with Hexagon's orthoimagery program
Land surveyors rely on Denmark's Digital Orthophoto (DDO) to implement cadastral surveys and land administration projects.
In summer 2026, Hexagon will once again map Denmark from the air as part of the DDO® program, capturing high-resolution orthophotos to support planning, environmental monitoring and national documentation.
Acquired during peak vegetation season, the imagery delivers rich, true-to-life visualization of landscapes, cities, and infrastructure. With consistent nationwide coverage and high detail, DDO® 2026 continues to provide both a comprehensive overview and the precision needed for informed decision-making, while building on a unique historical archive of Denmark’s development.
