Hexagon and Pulverjet bring agricultural solutions to the Show Rural 2020
3 January 2020
Florianópolis, Brazil (January 03, 2020) – Hexagon's Agriculture division will join Pulverjet to showcase technology solutions developed for agriculture at the Show Rural Coopavel from February 3-7, 2020. Paraná will host the 32nd edition of the event, which takes place annually in Cascavel City and, in 2019, gathered 520 exhibitors and moved about R$2.2 billion over the five days.
“At Hexagon, we develop embedded technologies for tractor and implement manufacturers, with the goal of transforming them into true technological tools for agricultural efficiency,” said Bernardo de Castro, president of Hexagon's Agriculture division. “After all, we aim to prepare the agricultural industry to achieve greater productivity.”
Hexagon’s technology highlighted at the Show Rural will include:
- HxGN AgrOn Machine Monitoring: Integrates detailed machine and fleet monitoring with the information management system, recording machine position and the activity being performed, while also providing detailed reports on performance indicators and machinery behaviour such as productivity, area worked, distance traveled and speed.
- HxGN AgrOn Auto Steering:Assists the navigation of tractors, machines, and agricultural and forestry implements, in addition to ensuring the alignment of routes with an accuracy of up to two centimetres. With this tool, routes can be planned directly from the office, which allows users to maximise field resources, significantly decrease soil compaction and increase production times.
- HxGN AgrOn Control Room:The system has different modules to cover all field processes, with four specific modules dedicated to remote operations management: Cultivation, Soil Preparation, Planting, and Harvesting.
“With these technologies, the result is better machine performance and greater productivity and profitability,” Castro added.
During the Show Rural Coopavel, Hexagon will share space with one of its partners, Pulverjet. The company has been a manufacturer of self-propelled machinery for over 25 years, and has introduced HxGN AgrOn solutions to increase efficiency.
“We turned to Hexagon after finding a deficiency in the GPS controllers of our implements, and this problem generated high expense of after-sales service and technical visits in the field,” said Marcelo Variza, Pulverjet's Executive Director. It was then that the company decided to look for technologies in the domestic market that were ready to be installed on their machines. “In addition to a quality product, the challenge was to find the technology needed for the manufacturer's sprayers to gain market value,” said Variza. The result of investing in embedded technologies in tractors and farm implements from Hexagon was a 95% reduction in aftermarket technical service costs in the field after.
