Hexagon at Focus on Forestry

Florianópolis, Brazil (March 18, 2019) — Hexagon’s Agriculture division will be exhibiting for the first time at the Focus on Forestry event in South Africa, which takes place from April 10-12, 2019. The conference and exhibition is held every two years, showcasing the latest in machinery, equipment and supplies for the forestry industry. South Africa has about 1.4 million hectares of commercial forest planting, and its production is exported to Europe, China and the United States. The sector in the country includes 11 large companies, 1,300 commercial producers and 20,000 small producers.

"Hexagon has already had meetings with large forestry companies in South Africa, and this first contact revealed a great interest of these organisations for our technologies,” said Bernardo de Castro, president of Hexagon's Agriculture division. “The next step is to make the proofs of concept in the field to prove the efficiency of our solutions and product.”"

Hexagon’s presence at the fair is part of a strategic plan to expand the company's operations in the international market.
