Information on collection of data relating to EEO

Certain US laws require Hexagon to collect voluntary information, including race, gender, ethnicity, Disability and Veteran status and report it to various government agencies for statistical purposes.  Submission of this information is voluntary and refusal to provide will not subject you to any adverse treatment. The information obtained will be kept confidential and will only be used for non-discriminatory and lawful monitoring and/or reporting purposes.  This information will not affect the decision regarding your application for employment.

a.       Race definitions

Hispanic or Latino: A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rico, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of Race. White (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.  Black or African American (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands. Asian (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian Subcontinent, including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.  American Indian or Alaska Native (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America) and who maintain tribal affiliation or community attachment.  Two or More Races (Not Hispanic or Latino) All persons who identify with more than one of the above five races.

b.       Definition of protected veteran

Disabled Veterans: (A) a veteran of the U.S military, ground, navel, or air services entitled to compensation (or who both for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or (B) a person discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.  Recently Separated Veterans: Any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, navel, or air service.  Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Badge Veterans: A veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, navel or air services during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.  Armed Forces Service Medal Veterans: A veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, navel, or air services, participated in a United States military operation for which a Armed Forces service medial was awarded pursuant to the Executive Order 12985.

US data storage policy

Please note that in the US we are legally required to hold your application data for a certain amount of time to meet legal requirements. Therefore if you are a candidate for a vacancy in the US if you click on “delete my record” from within the ATS this will not immediately delete your information. Instead a message will be sent to the Recruitment Manager who will contact you to discuss further options.

EMEA data storage and usage:

Information you submit as part of your application must be true, accurate, complete and not misleading. You understand that any false or misleading statements or omissions made by you during the application process, including your application and interviews, may be sufficient cause to justify the rejection of your application or, if you have already become an employee, the immediate termination of your employment, subject to due process.

When you provide us with information about any other third party as part of the recruitment process (e.g. referees) then, before providing us with such information, you must inform the relevant individuals that you will disclose their personal data to us and provide a copy of this notice to them.

We will only process your personal data for the specific purpose of processing and managing your application. In particular we process candidates’ personal data to:

  • Undertake recruitment activities, such as determining the suitability of a candidate’s qualifications. 
  • Assist us in managing external providers. (e.g. recruitment agencies) 
  • Manage our HR records and Update the Hexagon employee database. 
  • Reply to an official request from a public or judicial authority with the necessary authorisation. 
  • Comply with any legal obligation imposed on Hexagon in relation to its recruitment practice. 
  • It is our policy to retain your personal data for 6 months during which your candidacy will be assessed against other potential opportunities. Prior to the expiration of that 6 month period you will be notified of the impending deletion and you will be given a choice to remain on our database. Your personal data is not stored for longer period than 2 years. At any time during the recruitment process you can request your data to be deleted from our database. You are always able to apply to any position advertised by Hexagon once more.

Los datos personales que recabamos de usted, los utilizaremos para las siguientes finalidades primarias las cuales se mencionan en forma enunciativa mas no limitativa a continuación: elaboración del perfil profesional del candidato, a fin de que se encuentre en posibilidad de participar en los procesos de reclutamiento y selección de personal para la aplicación a los diversos puestos de trabajo vacantes en nuestra Bolsa de Trabajo para su anáisis  y evaluación.
   
Sus datos personales son y podrán ser compartidos dentro y fuera del país con las siguientes personas, empresas, organizaciones o autoridades distintas a nosotros, para los siguientes fines y respecto de los cuales no se requiere de su consentimiento de cualquier forma y/o tipo:

  • Empresas de estudios laborales: Para la evaluación del perfil profesional del candidato.
  • Le informamos que sus datos personales podrían ser compartidos dentro del grupo del que formamos parte, para el siguiente fin y respecto del cual tampoco se requiere de su consentimiento: intercambio de cartera.

¿Cómo puede acceder, rectificar o cancelar sus datos personales, u oponerse a su uso?

Usted tiene derecho  en cualquier momento a conocer qué datos personales tenemos de usted, para qué los utilizamos y las condiciones del uso que les damos (Acceso). Asimismo, es su derecho solicitar la corrección de su información personal en caso de que esté desactualizada, sea inexacta o incompleta (Rectificación); que la eliminemos de nuestros registros o bases de datos cuando considere que la misma no está siendo utilizada adecuadamente (Cancelación); así como oponerse al uso de sus datos personales para fines específicos (Oposición). Estos derechos se conocen como Derechos ARCO.
