Hexagon will launch embedded technology with ISOBUS for manufacturers during the Agrishow 2022
3 March 2022
Aiming to offer a complete and integrated portfolio for agricultural machine manufacturers, Hexagon's Agriculture division is preparing to launch a new ECU (Electronic Control Unit) during the Agrishow 2022, which takes place from April 25 to 29, in Ribeirão Preto (SP). The technology — an electronic control unit for engines, cylinders and valves, which interfaces with sensors and actuators in agricultural implements — highlights communication in the ISOBUS standard, allowing compatibility with devices from different companies.
"ISOBUS helps solve one of the biggest challenges today in relation to the automation of agricultural machines: integration between devices of different brands and models. This easy customisation and compatibility that we offer with HxGN AgrOn ECU ISOBUS is essential for manufacturers, who need to adapt with characteristics of various implements and displays, including when there are launches in the market," explains Bernardo de Castro, president of the division. The new product will also have an interface with a configurable operation screen — that is, the user will be able to decide which graphic elements will be included and in which positions they will be arranged, adapting the visualisation according to what is best for the implement and the operation to be performed. The screen will also be simple and clean, contributing to the usability of the ECU, which also has technical assistance and specialised quick support.
Along with the launch, Hexagon's Agriculture division will take advantage of the resumption of the face-to-face fair to present its portfolio of solutions for manufacturers of agricultural machinery and implements, HxGN AgrOn OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Through sensors, hardware and software, the company produces customised solutions according to the needs of each partner, aiming to assist them in adding value to the machinery with the use of embedded technologies such as displays and electronic controllers.
Next-generation display will be presented
Launched in 2021, Hexagon's new generation of displays — HxGN AgrOn Ti10 — will be another highlight at the event. The high-performance equipment has a 10.1-inch high-definition (HD) screen, powerful processors, and other optional features, such as a camera and audio system with built-in speaker and microphone. "The development of this product considered trends in the sector and the increasing use of precision agriculture in agricultural operations. Therefore, we decided to bring it to the Agrishow, one of the largest fairs in the sector and a showcase for agribusiness launches globally," reinforces Bernardo de Castro.
The other generations of displays — Ti5 and Ti7 — will also be on display at the fair, as well as other precision solutions that can be shipped in these products. Examples are the AgrOn Auto Steering, AgrOn Machine Monitoring and AgrOn Fertilisation Control. The stand will also have exposure of AgrOn Control Room, a software for remote monitoring of everything that happens in farming in real time, as well as solutions for planning — such as AgrOn Plant Planning, AgrOn Harvest Planning and AgrOn Support Logistics Planning — and analysis of operations — such as AgrOn Operational Management.
This will be the Agrishow's first post-pandemic face-to-face fair, which had its last edition held in 2019. The event is one of the largest in the world in the sector, bringing together an audience of 150,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors. For the president of Hexagon's Agriculture division, the presentation of the portfolio is an opportunity to reinforce the company's position as a single player that combines solutions from cultivation planning to harvest logistics, increasing the efficiency of the field through the synchronisation of agricultural processes.
