Carpenters Training Institute is revolutionizing career training with industry-leading technology

The case study shows how Hexagon helped the Institute create a more efficient training process using Hexagon's technology. The previous method used a theodolite, creating a manual and time-consuming process that could take hours to days to complete the work.

Hexagon introduced Inspire metrology software and an Leica Absolute Tracker AT500. Using this technology cuts the time needed by half.

Setting the Absolute Tracker AT500 using real-time level readout within Inspire, the Laser Tracker can measure a level frame. Using a Roller Alignment Kit together with Inspire, it enables real-time adjustment control in multiple axis. This process is much easier and as Adam Klein says in the video, the speed is “phenomenal.”

Using the Theodolite, only one roll can be checked at a time and must switch to a different system for elevation. With Inspire and the Laser Tracker, multiple rolls can be covered from a single location, greatly increasing efficiency.
