One of the largest bearing companies in China, Wafangdian Bearing Group Corporation (ZWZ) supplies pitch bearings to the world’s leading wind turbine OEMs. Challenged to provide digital design verification, typically limited for this kind of bearing, ZWZ contracted Romax to review the pitch bearing design. Using advanced CAE methods and leveraging their unique experience, the Romax team were able to make key performance improvement recommendations in less than 2 months. ZWZ has been able to successfully verify the pitch bearing product with many digital calculations to ensure it fully meets the OEM’s requirements.
