Announcing Hexagon Agriculture

Florianopolis, Brazil, February/2015 - Hexagon Agriculture officially launches as a new business focused on providing smart solutions to address challenges within the vital agroindustry.

With the goal of becoming the number-one technology provider of planning, optimisation, management and automation solutions for the agroindustry, Hexagon Agriculture will expand Hexagon’s footprint and lead the way for further product and market development. The result will be an even broader portfolio of offerings to help increase productivity, reduce waste and optimise processes and resources.

Brazil-based Arvus Tecnologia and iLab Sistemas, two companies known for their innovative technologies for the agroindustry, were acquired by Hexagon in 2014 and will be the foundation of Hexagon Agriculture, leveraging products and expertise from the agriculture business unit of Leica Geosystems and other Hexagon companies.

Hexagon Agriculture is being launched this week in Cascavel, Brazil, at Show Rural Coopavel, an important agro trade show for South America. This week also marks the global launch of Ti5, Hexagon Agriculture’s innovative, complete and affordable solution for precision agriculture and agroindustry processes management.
