m&h infraroodtasters zijn contacttasters. Wanneer de stylus een werkstukoppervlak nadert, buigt hij af en wordt er via infrarood licht een triggersignaal naar de ontvanger gestuurd. Een storingsvrije signaaloverdracht tussen taster en ontvanger is absoluut essentieel voor procesbetrouwbare metingen op bewerkingsmachines.
