m&h infraröda prober är beröringstriggade prober. När mätspetsen närmar sig ytan på arbetsstycket avleds den och en triggersignal skickas till mottagaren med hjälp av infrarött ljus. Störningsfri signalöverföring mellan prob och mottagare är absolut nödvändig för tillförlitlig mätning på verktygsmaskiner.
