  • The CNC control displays that the touchprobe is not ready after changing the scanner into the spindle
    • Are you able to close this message and go on?
      • If yes: Contact support if you frequently experience this problem
      • If no: Check the optical status indicator of the receiver (left)
      • LED red: The receiver does not receive an activation code from the CNC - contact support
      • LED blinking green: Replace the batteries of the scanner
    • Error persists? Contact support.
  • HxGN NC Measure displays that there is a LAN communication error when I want to start a scan
    • Check the optical indicator for the LAN status of the receiver (right)
      • LED not flashing: Check the LAN connection between PC and receiver
      • LED green: Return the scanner to the machine tool magazine and call up the spindle/activate the m-function again. Wait 12s. Then try to scan again
      • Check batteries
    • Error persists? Contact support.
  • HxGN NC Measure displays that the scan does not contain enough data when calibrating
      • Is the work offset for the calibration sphere correct?
        • If yes: Clean the scanner glass and calibration sphere according to chapter 2.7.1 and 2.72 of the scanner operating instructions
      • Check environment for intensive light or reflections
      • Error persists? Contact support.
  • HxGN NC Measure displays that the angle I want to scan is not calibrated
    • Perform the sensor calibration for the tilt angles and spindle position you want to scan on your workpiece.
  • The optical glass of my scanner is soiled
    • Clean the glass with a microfiber cloth carefully. If it is still soiled, follow chapter 2.7.1 of the scanner operating instructions.
  • The battery compartment is difficult to open
    • Grease the sealing above the battery compartment.
     
  • The glass of the scanner is broken and I need a replacement
    • Please contact our customer support.
     
  • I forgot to close the sleeve after replacing the battery and oil / liquid got inside the probe
    • Remove the batteries and wipe the battery case dry
    • Check whether the scanner is still functioning
    • Contact customer support if the scanner is not working. 
  • I am not sure if my scanner is still accurate
    • Please contact customer support to perform an accuracy check. We recommend checking the scanner’s performance and accuracy on a regular basis.
  • How accurate is my scan?
    • Please see scanner operating instructions.
     
  • It is not possible to send a program from HxGN NC Measure to the CNC
    • General: Check ethernet connection between the control and PC
    • FANUC:
      • Set control to EDIT mode
    • Heidenhain:
      • Set control to MANUAL mode
      • Check DNC connection tool for active connection to CNC
      • The scan program must not be opened
    • SIEMENS
      • A scan program which is currently running is not allowed.
