Probes and Scanners

A wide range of easily interchangeable, compatible devices. For tactile measurement there are over 100 compatible probes. For scanning, the flagship Absolute Scanner AS1 is the key to premium 3D scanning and digitisation. Thanks to its SHINE technology it delivers unmatched accuracy, measurement speed, and automatic exposure functionality for easy scanning of different surfaces. Absolute Scanner AS1-XL offers large surface scanning thanks to its extra-wide laser scanline and extended standoff distance. The RS5 Laser Scanner provides established and reliable general-purpose scanning functionality. Both the AS1 and AS1-XL can be mounted onto an Absolute Positioner AP21 unit and used with a laser tracker for larger-scale measurement without realignment or recalibration.

IP54

Offering the best protection available against water and particle ingress – the first measurement arm to be IP54 rated for dusty and wet conditions. The Absolute Arm range can now withstand ambient temparatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius – thanks to its robust, Advanced Frame Structure. Reassurance in all industrial situations – as well as confidence in new more harsh conditions.

The Modular wrist improves user comfort, allowing longer work periods, and the ability to measure in tight spaces, enabling operators to gather more details of each part. A Zero G or weightless arm, on-wrist touchscreen for control and display of results and notifications.

Connected

Robust, stable Wi-Fi means cables are avoided in all industrial environments. Absolute Arm models are compatible with all major metrology data and asset management tools.

Range

The Absolute Arm is available in three models, three accuracy levels and seven sizes: 36 different configurations. The Models – Compact, 6 Axis and 7 Axis – have 3 accuracy Levels, 83, 85 and 87. Sizes range from the 1.2 metre diameter measurement volume of the Compact to, for the other models a range of measurement volume diameters from 2.0 - 4.5 metres.

ISO certification
The probing accuracy of the Absolute Arm 7-Axis is certified according to ISO 10360-12 as standard, with full scanning system accuracy certified according to ISO 10360-8 Annex D when supplied with an Absolute Scanner AS1, AS1-XL or RS5 Laser Scanner.

Asset management
Every Absolute Arm is now compatible with the Metrology Asset Manager solution, allowing users to monitor arm health and performance in real time from anywhere in the world.
