Hexagon acquires Planit Canada to accelerate woodworking software growth in North America

Cobham, United Kingdom, 11 June 2026 – Hexagon’s Production Software Division has acquired Planit Canada, the world’s second-largest reseller of Cabinet Vision, strengthening its direct presence in the Canadian woodworking software market.
Founded in 2008, Planit Canada has supported woodworking manufacturers across Canada with software, training, support and maintenance services. The company has built a strong market position through Cabinet Vision, Hexagon’s design-to-manufacturing solution for cabinet and casegoods manufacturers, and has recently expanded its relationship with Hexagon through the sale of Alphacam.
The acquisition will see Planit Canada fully integrated into Hexagon’s Production Software Division, supporting the continued growth of its Wood, Stone and Composites vertical. It will strengthen Hexagon’s ability to work directly with Canadian customers, deepen local technical support and create new opportunities to introduce a broader portfolio of production software solutions to the market.
Planit Canada brings more than 30 years of partnership history with Hexagon, alongside established customer relationships and deep knowledge of woodworking production workflows. Its team will continue to support customers across the country, with onboarding and integration managed by local leadership and HR teams.
