Education
HCCI extends its social responsibility program to the critical field of education. We seek out top university partners to provide required training in courses that make students industry-ready. We do this by reaching out to campuses through our program called ‘Campus Champions’. Recently, we partnered with the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, to set up a Next Gen PPM Lab, the Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, to set up Advanced Analysis Lab, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, to set up a GNSS lab.
From lab infrastructure, to hardware and software licensing, to curriculum design, to professional training for professors, this is aided by HCCI’s technical experts. The labs are available to students across all departments at said campuses.
Furthering the efforts in the field, HCCI recently signed a MoU with National Institute of Technology, Warangal, to set up a Precision Metrology Lab.
Women’s Empowerment
Acting towards the cause, HCCI has funded a project for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls in Boddu Chinthalapally village, in Warangal district of Telangana State. This village is situated about 150 km from Hyderabad With the help of these funds, the project created a resource center with a library, English classes and a computer lab offering basic skills. A coordinator at the resource center helps empower women to stand up for their rights, improve hygiene, build leadership skills and voice their opinions against outdated customs such as child marriage. They are also taught to communicate their needs to the district collector. In addition, three trainers teach subjects such as computer skills, English and vocational training in sewing.
Orphanage Support
As part of HCCI’s ongoing support for orphanages, the organization sponsored the construction of a dormitory/hostel room at Sphoorti Foundation campus in Dindigal. The Hexagon Block is built across 400 square feet and is expected to be ready by the end of May. In addition, HCCI is sponsoring the education of five orphan children from the Sphoorti Foundation.
Natural Calamity Relief Fund
Supporting precious lives and helping restore normalcy in Chennai, HCCI recently contributed towards the Prime Minister Relief Fund for affected individuals and families.
