Coupled Structural Simulation of Reinforced Plastic Components with Digimat

Objective:

In this seminar you will learn how to use Digimat products to quickly and efficiently create an integrative Build simulation. You will get to know the modules Digimat-MAP, Digimat-CAE and Digimat-RP help to transfer knowledge from the manufacturing process, such as fiber orientation, n to an FE simulation consider.

Target group

The seminar is aimed at calculation engineers who want to consider the influence of manufacturing processes (e.g. fiber orientation) of reinforced plastics in FE simulation.

Content

• Introduction to the Digimat graphical user interface
• Mapping of fiber orientations and other fields such as residual stresses, weld lines, etc.
• Between two different FE meshes using Digimat-MAP
• Coupling of Digimat with FEA Codes
• Coupled FEA: Introduction to the hybrid solution method
• Evaluation of failure and use of damage
