U.S. Military Complex Deploys Hexagon’s Incident Management Security System

Needing to protect personnel and infrastructure, Fort Bragg deployed Hexagon’s integrated incident management and security system to provide advanced perimeter security, deliver real-time security information for quick decision-making, and integrate multiple sensors into a single common operating picture.

Fort Bragg

The Challenge

One of the largest and busiest military complexes in the world, North Carolina’s Fort Bragg hosts the U.S. Army’s airborne and special operations forces. With more than 161,000 acres stretching across four counties, Fort Bragg has a lot of ground – and people – to secure and protect from threats.

To protect personnel and infrastructure, Fort Bragg needed an integrated incident management and security system to provide advanced perimeter security, deliver real-time security information for quick decision-making, and integrate multiple sensors into a single common operating picture.

The Solution

Fort Bragg deployed solutions from Hexagon’s Safety & Infrastructure division as part of its Integrated Incident Management Center (I2MC). Based on Hexagon’s industry-leading computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution, the I2MC integrates information from 911 communications, GIS, radio, and sensors – including cameras, mass notifications, alarms, and vehicles – for a common operating picture for incident management and security. With integrated video surveillance, the system enables perimeter intrusion detection, assessment, and response capabilities.

This comprehensive, effective command and control system meets Fort Bragg’s situational awareness and preparedness requirements and supports interoperability across multiple agencies and technology platforms, resulting in better decision-making and faster responses to security incidents.
