Working for Hexagon for 30 years, Karen Bachmeyer has seen a lot of change and growth. Starting as a developer in utilities products, Karen says the recently rebranded Intergraph SG&I to Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure is still in some ways the same company it was 30 years ago.
“We are very principled, we care about our customers and we have a lot of super smart people on our teams,” she says.
Karen has taken on more product ownership working as a Technical Delivery Lead. She speaks highly of how Hexagon develops long-term relationships with its customers and views them as true friends. According to Karen, not only does the company focus on customers, but is committed to making sure it employs the most qualified staff. With Hexagon enhancing its global presence by expanding offshore resources in order to augment staff, she says the company has a broader perspective of what is going on in the world.
Karen’s favorite part about working for Hexagon is seeing customers evolve with the software and improve their companies; she loves watching everything integrate and finding new ways to solve problems.
“It’s as if we say, ‘Oh, there is a problem, let’s go solve it, and that’s fun!’”
Karen Bachmeyer is shaping smart change by developing a new generation of products.
