Helping mines achieve their potential
Ernesto Vivas is one of Hexagon’s resident road warriors. As a MineSight Senior Specialist, Ernesto visits customers in some of the remotest parts of the planet, helping to improve their mine planning workflows.
In 2015, Ernesto was in the Arctic, visiting Baffin Island to provide training at the Mary River Mine, the northernmost open-pit mine in the world. In recent years, he has helped customers from New Caledonia in the South Pacific to Red Dog, Alaska, with Mongolia, Thailand, Japan and much of South America in between.
Helping mines get the most from MineSight is rewarding, but the potential of what Hexagon can bring to the industry is limitless, says Ernesto.
“The possibilities for integration between our planning, operations and safety technologies are endless. Hexagon is delivering new, smart, connected products that are redefining the whole value chain from mine to market.”
It’s hard to get more remote than the Arctic, but for this seasoned road warrior and Hexagon employee, new horizons are always ahead.
