A tremendous volume of customer orders and an increasing number of blisk stages in these next-generation engines demanded a new, disruptive technology. Working with GE Aviation, Hexagon developed an HPO non-contact sensor that created a 55 per cent cycle time reduction of compressor blade airfoil inspection processes, resulting in a groundbreaking inspection solution.
